Twirla is a hormonal birth control patch designed for women with a body mass index (BMI) under 30 kg/m² who can become pregnant. Its unique technology and wearability offer a new level of convenience and freedom in contraceptive care.
As Digital Creative Director, I led the creative vision and execution across both the consumer‑facing site and the physician (HCP) site, collaborating closely with my team to ensure each audience received tailored messaging and tools. The consumer site emphasized empowerment and ease of use, while the physician site provided detailed clinical content and online resources to support healthcare providers.
The design strategy centered on telling the story of convenience and freedom, visually reinforcing the patch’s simplicity and innovative wearability. We employed a non‑traditional layering technique that created the illusion of the patch moving down the page, while in reality it remained fixed in place. This subtle but powerful interaction conveyed the product’s stability and ease of application, while keeping the user experience engaging and memorable.
Through branding, design, and digital development, the Twirla sites established a cohesive narrative that positioned the patch as both clinically credible and consumer‑friendly — a modern solution that fits seamlessly into women’s lives.
